Biography

Maisie Robinson was born in Cornwall UK and raised in Oamaru. Maisie grew up around art and has been painting since she could hold a paint brush. After high school, she moved to Dunedin to go to Dunedin School of Art where she gained a Bachelor of Visual Arts(hons) majoring in printmaking. Through her time studying printmaking, Maisie became interested in making patterns and botanical art. 

Maisie works with pattern, texture, and a rich colour palette. Her subject matter ranges from local gardens and houses, her own clothes rack, and her backyard in the city. Her works have been described as delicate and intricate with playful details and colourful combinations.

 Maisie lives in Dunedin and paints alongside raising her young family.
